Yes. CritiComms PTT works with mobile data or WiFi. However, some WiFi systems are not optimized for voice over IP traffic. You may want to test it on your WiFi network. Additionally, some WiFi networks may require an Internet firewall configuration to fully support Voice over IP services. Contact our support department at - Criticomms-support@criticomms.net - for help with WiFi integration.
No, our application works with most smartphones on the market: Android, iPhone, iPad, Android Tablet or Windows PC. If preferred, the application can be used with “rugged” or “purpose built” equipment in conditions where a shock-, dust- and waterproof device (IP68 / 69) is required. For this, we recommend the RugGear equipment that has been certified with our application (see Solutions)

CritiComms PTT is compatible with any cellular operator that offers 3G / 4G / LTE / 5G mobile data
CritiComms PTT can be integrated with any analog, digital, P25 or Tetra radio system. We have extensive experience in all aspects of radio system integration, from simple portable radio connections to multi-channel rack mount integration configurations.
The Criticomms PTT app consumes little data. While idle and not making any calls, CritiComms PTT usage is approximately 2 megabytes / month, regardless of device and network type. During an active call: On a 4G network, each talk hour will use approximately 18 megabytes. On a 3G network, each talk hour will use approximately 8 megabytes. Examples: Suppose you normally make calls that use 10 hours of talk time for a month on your: 4G LTE network, expect to use 180MB / month. 3G network, expect to use 80MB / month.
